“…An orthodox Catholic Ignation, classically based, home school program for grades K-12. Devoted to providing a philosophy and method of education that is thoroughly Catholic and academically challenging. Dedicated to forming the whole individual –mind, body and soul–to renew the world with children and young adults with high educational, moral, civic and spiritual values. Centered on the principle of Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam — doing all things for the greater glory of God. Underlying all of these is the principle of subsidarity—you, as the parent, are charged with being the primary educator of your children Our goal is to help you in fulfilling your sacred duty…”
“…Our philosophy of education is simply as the Church has stated from time immemorial, and as defined by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical, On the Christian Education of Youth: “Education consists essentially in preparing man for what he must be and for what he must do here below, in order to attain the sublime end for which he was created.” Accordingly, OLVS believes that the safest road for our Faith to travel is that road which was gloriously traveled by the saints and the holy popes of our Church for over 1900 years. We have also emphasized the importance of good Catholic literature, and we are revising our Music program to teach young children the appreciation of Folk, Classical, and Sacred Music, including polyphony and chant…”
“…Our classical liberal arts curriculum is an independent study program crafted for the home schooling family, not a classroom program adapted for the home schooling market. We are dedicated to the Catholic formation and education of children by the persons granted the grace and commission to do so by Our Heavenly Father–the child’s own parents. To that end we offer a twelve year Catholic liberal arts curriculum for the home schooling family…”
“…Traditional Catholic nationally accredited home study program. The Mission of Seton Home Study School is to help parents fulfill their mission to educate their children for eternal salvation, as well as to be good citizens in this world to influence others to live the Christian life…”
“OLR Mission Statement: Our mission is to help parents teach their children the Catholic Faith in its entirety using sound Catholic educational materials, covering all subjects. We have been helping parents educate their children since 1983, providing them with the materials they need to give their children a sound, well-rounded, exceptional Catholic education. This Catholic education helps prep”?are children for further academic growth and development in the safe, wholesome environment of their own home…”
Mother of Divine Grace: “Classical Approach…is a distance education program which helps parents implement a Catholic classical education in their home. It is designed in the light of the classical principle that the goal of education is to teach children how to think; to help them learn the art of learning. If children learn how to learn, they will be equipped for life, able to master any subject when it becomes necessary or desirable. Further, the curriculum is faithful to the doctrine and teaching of the Catholic Church, which enlightens and informs all the areas of the curriculum…”
(editors note) My list would not be complete without mentioning CHC. Many homeschool families have found that even though Catholic Heritage Curriculum is not a home study program such as the ones above they offer a lesson plan manual and many more resources that should not be overlooked.
“…It is Catholic Heritage Curricula’s belief that, when solid academics are offered in a gentle, flexible manner, the vast majority of children will blossom spiritually, emotionally, and academically. CHC’s educational approach lays a joyful foundation, resulting in children who achieve at and above grade level, do not ‘burn out,’ and instead ‘learn how to learn’…”

“…The Academy’s mission is to support, but not to supplant, the homeschool parent as primary educator by providing a rigorous college preparatory and classical homeschool curriculum which challenges the intellect and nourishes the spirit with the riches of the Catholic tradition. Our homeschool curriculum contains both live interactive courses as well as self-directed study courses hence allowing structure but also flexiblity as sometimes needed for the homeschool student…”
Angelicum Academy “…is easy to follow. Because it is complete, it is a one-stop home education provider. The 13 courses (subjects) allow parents to offer their children more options than any private school offers. Because it is flexible, it allows parents to select only those courses they wish, when they wish, and to take as long (or as little) as they wish to complete a course. Most of our students are doing six or seven subjects, in two or three different grade levels – they have excelled in some, taken more time in others – this is a common sense approach to education, not a one-pace-fits-all approach to unique human beings.”
